In the Odyssey’s Telemachy, Theoclymenus’s genealogy names Cleitus son of Mantius: Eos snatched him for his beauty, so that he might be among the immortals. The notice is a single Homeric hexameter-pair, parallel to Dawn’s better-known abductions of Tithonus and Orion, but naming a lesser Argive seer-line youth.
